As you may have noticed, there is a common theme preventing the tiny house market from exploding and that is zoning and building codes. These codes were originally designed as regulation for large square footage homes and residences, which poses a problem when contractors try and shrink down the code to fit tiny square footage homes. Until rules and regulations are put into place that cater to tiny housing, or until current codes are updated, then the tiny housing community will continue to see backlash. I did a little research of my own on building codes and tiny living, and I came across this article detailing the most common myths about housing codes and tiny building and I wanted to share this with you all.
