If you would have asked me six weeks ago if I ever thought I’d be a pro at using a nail gun, I would have told you to keep dreaming. But after a day of cutting plywood to fit the frame and nailing panels up, I can confidently say that I am on my way to becoming a nail gun aficionado. There is something inherently cool about claiming that as one of your skills, and I’m so glad this class is helping me become more adept at construction – a life skill that many people our age go without.
Here you can see the house coming along! Roof beams are in place, walls are up, and the windows are about ready to go.
