Tiny homes for Veterans

My freshman year, I went on a service trip to Maryland for Veterans Advocacy and Awareness. During our visit, we worked with several organizations that interacted with various veteran populations, whether that focused on women veterans, wounded veterans, elder veterans, and families of veterans and active service members. At the time, tiny homes weren’t well known but the issue of homelessness among the veteran population was still an issue.

Now that tiny homes are “a thing”, the idea of creating tiny houses for veterans experiencing homelessness is coming to a rise. This video is just a simple glimpse of the different intersectionalities exist with tiny homes. As stated in class, one of the challenges that this movement for homeless populations and veterans may face is coding, land ownership, and the efficiency in which these houses are going to be build over time!

Just a thought!
